Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor by Imperial Japan, President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave his Day of Infamy Speech where he stated, "No man can tame a tiger into a kitten by stroking it.”

In the early 1900s, Kijirõ Nambu began developing a new type of pistol for the Japanese Navy and Army.

This featured artifact has never been on display here, and in fact, I had to dig deep to find out more about it.

Here is a special artifact in our collection published on Christmas Eve, 1943-eighty years ago!

Eighty-one years ago today, the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Army Air Corps bases in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, were unexpectedly attacked by the Navy and Air Forces of the Imperial Japanese Empire.

This patch was created by Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, in July of 1944.

While the country was in full swing back into normal life, there were other events occurring which would forever alter the future of this country.
