Purpose: Training
The Howard DGA-18 was built for the United States Civil Pilot Training Program by the Howard Aircraft Corporation. The variant on display at the Arkansas Air & Military Museum is the DGA-18K, which featured a Kinner R-5 160hp radial engine. It may be the only model on display anywhere (as of 2026).
This aircraft is considered a cantilever, low-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear and open cockpits for a pilot and trainee.
